I searched online for a local Auto shop to diagnose and service my 1989 Jeep Comanche. This was my dad's truck that I acquired back from a friend 9 years later. It's a great truck, but old and I allowed it to sit without starting and couldn't get it to start back up. I had it towed to Simmons. They diagnosed it, starting and running great. They did a full inspection with recommendations on what areas needed work, categorized by areas (exterior, interior, mechanical) with a detailed quote for each recommendation, even color coded for sense of urgency (green, yellow, red). Being a 1989, it needs some TLC. I opted for a couple of the more serious recommendations to start. The quote comes via email with a link to an interactive, online quote. On this link are the quotes, photos and notes related to each. There are also buttons to "authorize" or not, repairs I want to have done. The quote remains online and active for my future use. It can be updated as needed depending on parts availability etc. I found everything about Simmons Automotive to be the most complete, professional, efficient and courteous experience that I've EVER had. I'm a stickler for Customer Service (having working in the field for decades), I'm a huge consumer advocate as far as getting detailed estimates and not just 'lump sum' estimates. Time, date, breakdown, itemization's are all huge positives for any business but especially the Automotive and Simmons delivered. We average consumers are somewhat helpless and at the mercy of Auto Shops to give us a fair and honest deal. Simmons process is laid out with great detail and I felt zero pressure to have any work done, totally my option. I dealt with Austin, each time, on the phone, online and in person and he was consistently friendly and positive. On the day picked up the truck, I was waiting outside to have it brought around and a man approached me, introduced himself as "Dean Simmons" and wanted to thank me for allowing them to work and earn my business. That's a clear sign of Ownership of their work, devotion and Customer Appreciation. I don't write any of this lightly. I'm a critical consumer and write reviews on many services, good and bad. I also do my research on places before I select them for service and then follow up with reviews to help the next consumer and to help the business improve (if they want to). This one came easy as I was impressed with everything about how they conducted business with me. I don't give 5 stars easily or often as there is almost always room for improvement with most services.
