Simmons Automotive did a great job on repairing a complicated brake situation on my truck. It took multiple trips to the shop and different strategies to locate the root cause issue. I definitely felt frustrated because this is how I transport my children to and from safely. But with complicated situations and emotions aside this required much patience and preservation. I'm so happy that the team at Simmons Automotive finally fixed a rare situation where I had a damaged brake actuator that needed to be replaced. Austin and Lesley made my first experience here very welcoming and intimidation-free. I appreciate the extra time they took to troubleshoot what was going on with my vehicle. Austin took the time to explain what was going on with my vehicle in a way I didn't need to bring my husband with me to interpret. I look forward to coming back again.

Both Leslie and Austin were caring, respectful, personable & competent. A very good experience. We felt very comfortable leaving our car there for the first time and confident in the care we received when we received it back. We missed our appointment & they worked us in which was very kind. We went to Simmons Automotive for an oil change for my car (2017 Infiniti Q50S) for the first time. They were highly recommended by an acquaintance of my husband’s . Since our longtime mechanic of over 45 years retired a couple years ago it’s been hard to find a reliable automotive repair shop outside of going to the dealership for general services. Simmons was prompt on getting my car in for service at the scheduled time and had it completed within an hour. They took pictures of my car and sent an email reiterating what service I had requested and the cost of completion. They were friendly, courteous and professional. I will differently use Simmons for any automotive needs in the future.

I brought in a used car (from a small dealership just a few blocks away) for a pre-sale inspection. They inspection was very thorough, revealing many minor issues and a few major issues. I of course did not purchase the car. I was so grateful for their deep dive on the engine. They were fully transparent in their findings without leaning on me either way about my decision to purchase. In the end I expressed that in no way did I want to purchase a car with that many issues, and they agreed in full. If I lived in Tacoma I would be a regular customer.
