I use Simmons for any issues or up keep of my vehicle. They are always friendly and professional. Austin is very knowledgeable and friendly. I love how they send a text link to you for everything they recommend that needs to be completed and you can pick which services you want done right then and there. Great place! I'm a forever customer.

Best service I’ve ever had from a mechanic. They kept me up to date on the progress of my vehicle with notes and pictures. They even post the cost of the repairs and suggested services in your notes so that there’s no sticker shock. Simmons Automotive is now my go to shop.

Simmons Automotive are honest and straightforward. They don't try to get you to pay for work you don't need, and tell you up front what's most important and what can wait.

For those who don’t appreciate the story behind the rating, you can stop reading after I say this. if you can’t manage, for whatever reason, to handle mechanical issues by yourself, this is hands down the shop to bring you’re vehicles to. I have a Ram 3500 6.7 liter Dually diesel Longhorn edition. She is a beast and difficult to find places that can work on her. Around April 2021, I hit a pothole and immediately after the steering wheel started to shake violently in my hands. I later found out it was called a death wobble and incredibly hard to diagnose exactly what was causing it. I took it to a friends family owned shop out in Livermore CA. They had the truck 6 weeks the first time. And a week each other time. I believe it was in a total of 4 times. They replaced the ball joints, and I replaced the front tires. When I got it back the first time, they had given it to me with the steering wheel in the sideways position (which we discussed fixing immediately) and it still had a death wobble and a new problem, a clunking both audible and felt in the front end. I took it back and they had to order a bolt for the track bar. I got it back a week later. The clunk was not there audibly but you could feel a sort of not rightness in the steering while making hard turns like a u turn. Soon after that, the clunk was back audibly and I’d experienced many death wobbles. It was summer, they were busy, I was busy. I didn’t need the truck at that time so I just let it sit. Then in august we were told that work needed us to hitch up the trailer and go to Washington state. I took a chance on the truck. It did fine for the most part. Had issues when we arrived in the state of Washington. The state is beautiful but the roads a very poorly maintained. So that really set the death wobble off. And pulling a 42’ heavy fifth wheel did not help the situation at all. After moving from Burlington WA, to Puyallup then Kent and finally getting a long term spot in Puyallup, the truck was spent. I just parked it and let her rest a few months. Finally I found Simmons automotive and I felt comfortable with them right away. Leslie is whom you will most likely be greeted by first is an incredibly knowledgeable member of the team. When I told her the issues I’d been having she followed up in a friendly manner with pertinent questions. She was thorough with all of her questions of history on the vehicle and what I’d done so far to fix the problem. She told me what to expect upfront with everything from what they’d do to diagnose the issue and how much that diagnosis would be . After I’d agreed to everything, she set an appointment to get it in asap. As far as I was concerned, the fee for the inspection with an end result of knowing EXACTLY what needed fixed was WELL worth it. No one in California would guarantee me a precise diagnosis. By the end of that day, I had a written quote via email and a link to all the pictures and their recommendations on all of the important things that needed to be addressed along with the things I brought it in for. I discussed everything with them on the phone. Agreed via a website on each thing I would approve for them to fix. And within the week I had my truck back. Here’s the best part of my experience with Simmons Automotive. The owner himself had been working on the truck. He later came out and told me what he did, what to look for, and asked that no matter what, to bring the truck back in a week or so later so he could take a look at her again! I was floored! His son Austin was my main contact during the course of repairs and was absolutely kind, patient, well versed on EVERYTHING going on and gave me all my options and alternate payment options. I had to drive from Puyallup to Kennewick that next morning. I was so nervous as I know that drive to be the worst for a death wobble under the best circumstances. With winter here and the pass being barely passable I didn’t know if I’d come back alive or not! But the truck handled herself like the pro she was built to be! Thank you So much Dean, Austin and Leslie! Services: General repairs & maintenance, Steering / Suspension, Transmission, Brake service & repair, Brakes

This was the best experience I have had taking my car in to a mechanic. The technicians updated me with pictures and estimated costs through text links, and took time to answer my questions. They ended up identifying a problem with my car that I wasn't aware of, and were honest about which repairs could wait. That was really helpful considering I am currently on a tight budget.

Thank you Benjamin. Glad we could help and we appreciate your feedback! Merry Christmas
